Montana Pulse Crop Committee
About US
The Montana Pulse Crop Committee was created by and for our state’s pulse crop producers, with funding by the Montana check-off for dry peas, lentils, and chickpeas. We are committed to fostering the growth and resilience of Montana’s pulse industry through market development, research, and education. Our efforts are driven by passionate volunteer producer-leaders and talented administrative staff. Administered by the Montana Department of Agriculture, this program supports the growth of the pulse industry through strategic partnerships and initiatives, ensuring a robust market for Montana pulses.
Who We Are
Founded in 2017, the Montana Pulse Crop Committee is a state checkoff agency led by Montana farmers. We operate under the Agricultural Commodity Research and Market Development Enabling Act and consist of five voting members appointed by the governor, alongside three ex officio nonvoting members who are actively involved in the production, research, or marketing of pulse crops.
